How do I subscribe/unsubscribe to a forum?

Forums are used throughout Pou Manawa Akoranga (PMA), in a variety of ways - e.g. weekly online conversations, course/paper forum groups and programme forum groups.

Each course page on PMA will have an Activities box in a pop out menu on the right hand side of the page - this is where students can get a full look/overview into certain activities within the course page. 

For this example, students can click on Forums and be taken to a full overview of all the forums within the course page:

On the forum overview, students have an option on the top right hand corner to subscribe/unsubscribe to all forums:

Subscribing to forums will allow PMA to send notification emails to students when forums are opened and when students in their groups have started to contribute to the forums.

Students can also subsribe/unsubscribe to forums individually - however the main Announcment forums cannot be unsubscribed to (as shown below):

When subscribing or unsubscribing to a forum individully, student's can to select the green Yes (subscribed) or No (unsubscribed) button under the Subscribed colum and change to their preferred setting for the forum.

PLEASE NOTE: General forums will typically mean your group or class forums, Learning forums will typically mean your weekly online conversations.
